Bianco Pinwheel Weft Straightner

Bianco® Pinwheel Weftstraightener is used for fabrics with sinusoidal weft distortions not easily correctable with conventional cylinder straighteners. It uses two idle large diameter (800 mm) wheels with pins, which exert tension on the running fabric, rotating and inclinating independently. The fabric is caught by the pins and the traction of the wheels brings the weft into the correct position. Not recommended for knitted fabrics. Dragging Cylinders of large diameter, with rubber for better adhesion, for pulling the fabric through from the input towards the pinwheels. Speed Compensator, two small diameter cylinders mounted on an oscillating frame to ensure perfect sync and adjustment of fabric tension. Tensioning Cylinder mounted on a pantograph to ensure proper relaxation of the fabric before the pinwheels, compensating for tensions created by the independent rotation of the pinwheels without affecting the centering of the fabric. 220° Spreading unit used for relaxing the fabric before the pinwheels. Introduction and Bypass Cylinder positioned immediately before the wheels to guarantee correct upstream positioning of the fabric and also used to bypass the wheels. Pinwheels, two idle 800mm diameter wheels with pins covering the circumference which comes into contact with the fabric. The wheels are commanded by two FTC5 photocells to follow the edges of the fabric. Being idle, they can rotate at different speeds to allow correction of weft distortions in the fabric. Bar or Curved Cylinder, used after the wheels to remove any residual distortions. OPTIONS Diagonal Cylinder, used for residual diagonal distortions. Dragging Cylinders of large diameter, with rubber for better adhesion, for drawing the fabric from the input towards the pinwheels. Output Dragging Cylinder of large diameter, with rubber coating for a better adhesion, for pulling the fabric through from the pinwheels towards the output of the machine. A speed compensator can also be fitted if required.
